Yet another flash card app

Flashcards from the words you look up

You already ask AI what unfamiliar words mean. Yafdeck saves those words as flashcards, so you review the vocabulary you actually run into.

Free. Two languages. No card building.

Word card

vermeiden

to avoid

Ich versuche, unnötigen Stress zu vermeiden.

I try to avoid unnecessary stress.

Phrase card, from the same question

etwas unbedingt vermeiden

to avoid something at all costs

Knowing a word is not the same as being able to use it, so the two are scheduled separately.

How it works

  1. 1

    Ask about a word

Ask an assistant what something means, or how to say it. You do not have to change how you learn.

  2. 2

    Yafdeck saves it

The word is saved with its meaning, an example sentence, and a phrase card built around it.

  3. 3

    Review what is due

Spaced repetition handles the scheduling. You just answer what is due today.

What you get

More than a translation

Every word comes with a sentence you would actually hear, and a reusable phrase like "etwas unbedingt vermeiden".

Nothing is deleted

When a deck fills up, Yafdeck either stops adding or archives cards you have clearly learned. Archiving keeps your history and can be undone.

Your cards are yours

Export everything as CSV whenever you want, ready for Anki. Edits you make stay on your own cards.

Works without the AI

Studying, browsing and statistics do not depend on an assistant being available.

Already use Anki? Keep using it

Yafdeck is not trying to be a better flashcard engine. It handles the part before study, which is noticing what you learned and turning it into a card worth reviewing. Export to CSV and study wherever you like.
